One of the chief reasons I was hired was for my extensive background in Design Adaptation. Within a month of being hired, helped execute a global redesign of a large hair care brand. Maintaining design integrity across regions and print processes was essential. Created CIC artwork with the trapping built in to ensure maximum efficiency moving through the P&G artwork creation/approval process. Currently lead Artwork Engineer on a project for Gillette involving a web based ordering system for Special Packs. The project involves complex templates built in Adobe Illustrator, which have coded text frames. These link to a complex database that allow from 1 to 30 languages to flow into the template through a web application built by a company called Elateral. The project was presented to A. G. Lafley, who wanted to use the technology for other brands. Deliverables include creating trapped, press-ready artwork from design files. Strict adherence to P&G’s global regulatory standards is essential.

Joined SGS for newly established P&G Fabric and Home Care team. Created production artwork from incoming P&G approved design files. Participated in weekly status calls with P&G and Pre-Production meetings for new initiatives. Collaborated with design firms to ensure design continuity across line extensions. Also created production artwork for Swiffer, Dawn, Joy, Mr. Clean, Cascade, Bounce and many other brands. Strict adherence to P&G standards mandatory as well as incorporation of features to streamline separations.

Hired to be Production Manager for the Tide brand. Supervised a group of up to four people, depending on work load. Worked closely with design team to accurately adapt approved designs to other sizes and variants. Collaborated with the technical graphics group to insure print and separation requirements met. Attended weekly status meetings. Managed work flow by using P&G’s proprietary software “ePADx”. Personally created all artwork for many of Tide’s biggest initiatives. These projects affected the entire laundry category, so I oversaw the work for Ariel, Ace, Cheer and Tide to insure design consistency across brands.
